A healthcare organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their staff at one of their in patient mental health facilities in Brooklyn. About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: 5 shifts a week (and every other weekend)
- Hours: 11:30pm to 8am
- Setting: Inpatient
- Patient Population: Adults (Ages 18+)
- EMR: MAARS
Responsibilities: The Inpatient Mental Health Nurse (RN) will:
- Assess the patients' physical needs
- Administer medication
- Admit, discharge, and transfer patients based on Physician orders
- Assist with procedures and physical exams
- Record appropriate progress notes and other data into the patients' medical record
- Draw blood, collect vital signs, etc.
- Conduct checks of treatment rooms for required equipment and ensuring its functionality
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of Clinical experience
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification
Desired Skills:
- 2+ years of experience working in a Clinical setting
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
