A healthcare organization in Central New York is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their staff at one of their inpatient psychiatric facilities in Binghamton. About the Opportunity:
- Assignment Length: 6+ months
- Shift: Days, Evenings &Nights (5 shifts a week)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (every other Saturday & Sunday)
- Hours: 7am - 3:30 pm, 3pm-11:30pm &11pm to 7:30am
- Setting: Inpatient Mental Health Facility
Responsibilities: The Inpatient Mental Health Nurse (RN) will:
- Assess the patients' physical needs
- Administer medication
- Admit, discharge, and transfer patients based on Physician orders
- Assist with procedures and physical exams
- Record appropriate progress notes and other data into the patients' medical record
- Draw blood, collect vital signs, etc.
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of Clinical experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification
Desired Skills:
- 1+ years of experience in a Behavioral Health setting
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
