Rockaway Home Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced PCA Training Program Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a registered nurse licensed in the state of New York, and have a background in teaching or working in home health care. This role involves instructing Personal Care Aides (PCA) in both one-day and two-week training classes, conducting student interviews, grading tests, and evaluating students' skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct PCA training classes in Spanish (one-day and two-week sessions)

• Conduct interviews with prospective students to assess their suitability for the program

• Grade tests and assignments to evaluate students' understanding and progress

• Provide practical skill evaluations to ensure students meet required competencies

• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance

• Offer support and guidance to students throughout their training

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state of New York

• Experience teaching home health or personal care aides, or working as a nurse or aide in a home health agency

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment

• Commitment to high standards of education and student success

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a PCA or HHA (home health aide) instructor

• Familiarity with New York State home health care regulations and standards( Previous experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nursing Instructor, Nursing Faculty, Nurse Educator, Nurse Instructor, Online Nursing Instructor, School Nurse, Registered Nurse, RN Nurse Practitioner, Nursing Director, Nurse Manager, Nursing/Nurse, Nurse management experience and PCA management )
