Details Client NameMount Sinai West Job TypeTravel OfferingNursing ProfessionRN SpecialtyL&D Job ID29411215 Job TitleRN - L&D - Contract - MSW Weekly Pay$2688.81 Shift Details ShiftNight - 11.5x3 - 07PM Scheduled Hours34 Job Order Details Start Date12/03/2024 End Date03/01/2025 Duration13 Week(s) Job Description Job Title: Clinical Nurse - RN Job Specialty: Labor & Delivery Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift, 7 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend required Guaranteed Hours: 34.5 Hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor & Delivery, with additional experience in Antepartum/Postpartum and Newborn Nursery settings License: NYS RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP Must-Have: Magnesium sulfate administration experience, EPIC experience preferred, BSN required Job Description: - Deliver patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship-Centered Care and applying the nursing process based on theory, research, evidence-based practice, and approved organizational standards.- Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills in patient care management.- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care.- Prioritize all aspects of patient care, including teaching, rounding, coaching, and discharge planning, delegating responsibilities appropriately.- Educate patients and caregivers, anticipating their needs and readiness to learn, about their plan of care, health promotion, and disease prevention.- Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing, demonstrating effective resource allocation.- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families, considering their values, preferences, cultural diversity, and expressed needs in all care aspects.- Initiate service recovery for patients and family members with concerns and escalate issues to the appropriate managerial level as needed.- Practice safe, patient-centered care by identifying and escalating barriers and opportunities for improvement.- Engage in quality and safety practices and required compliance measures, contributing to institutional process improvement strategies.- Perform charge nurse duties as assigned and coordinate with management to ensure supplies and staffing resources meet patient care demands.- Facilitate patient throughput and document care accurately in compliance with all standards and regulations.- Contribute to the professional development and support of clinical colleagues, foster a spirit of scholarship, and engage in lifelong learning.Note: This role requires effective communication and a compassionate approach in all interactions.
