Job Description:
*Overview*We are seeking a dedicated MDS Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Medicare, utilization management, and experience in nursing home or medical office settings. Knowledge of ICD-9 coding is highly desirable.*Duties*- Coordinate and oversee the completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments- Ensure accurate and timely submission of MDS assessments to regulatory agencies- Collaborate with healthcare providers to gather necessary information for assessments- Conduct utilization management reviews to optimize patient care and reimbursement- Maintain comprehensive documentation related to patient assessments and care plans- Utilize electronic health record systems such as PCC for data management- Apply anatomy knowledge to accurately assign ICD-10 codes*Experience*- Previous experience working in a nursing home- Proficiency in Medicare regulations and reimbursement guidelines- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesThis position offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled MDS Coordinator to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.Job Type: Full-timePay: $46.18 - $48.12 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Flexible spending account* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 8 hour shiftExperience:* Utilization review: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:* RN/LPN (Preferred)Ability to Commute:* Amesbury, MA 01913 (Required)Work Location: In person
