Compass Healthcare Consulting & Placement is conducting a search for an experienced Registered Nurse, RN for a Manager of Clinical Support opportunity for a Licensed Home Health Agency located in Manhattan, NY. Qualified candidates will have extensive experience within a Licensed Home Health Agency with Clinical Documentation & Quality Management. RN Manager of Clinical Support - Quality

The RN Manager of Clinical Support is to ensure the appropriate implementation of all clinical and quality management policies and procedures for the Home Health Agency.

  • Provide oversight to the clinical department to ensure organizational compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in recruitment and orientation of clinical staff.
  • Provide clinician oversight, evaluate performance and supervise clinical staff in the field.
  • Work collaboratively with the Office Administrators in evaluating the performance of RNs, review and discuss clinical audit results, develop corrective action plans toward improvement and recommend training requirements.
  • Review the Field Nurse Supervisors' productivity and ensure all documentation is submitted within policy guidelines.
  • Review clinical documentation for completion and timely submission.
  • Achieve a strong working knowledge of all company policies and procedures, maintain organizational compliance to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations as well as Joint Commission and CAHC standards.
  • Participate, develop and implement organizational Quality Assurance/ Performance Improvement Program projects.
  • Participate in program planning; budgets, and activities related to clinical and quality improvement.
  • Evaluate and mentor on an ongoing basis the training and in-service programs for paraprofessionals.
  • Monitor, review and intervene on Complaints and Occurrences to ensure proper handling where needed.
  • Support strategic growth opportunities for existing and new clients, new contract implementation and act as a liaison to company contracts.
  • Monitor the company on-call system and personnel for compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • On call 24 hours x 7 days for crisis intervention.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of R.N. Diploma from an NLN approved Nursing Program.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or extensive work experience in related field in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of seven years of clinical experience in nursing, with at least three years full time management experience in a home health care setting,
  • Knowledge of all applicable Federal, State, Local, regulatory requirements.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Joint Commission and Department of Health standards.
  • Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement experience preferred.

Skills: MS Office proficiency, excellent verbal and written communication, and the ability to work well under pressure.
