Details Client NameMount Sinai West Job TypeTravel OfferingNursing ProfessionRN SpecialtyMS Job ID29103699 Job TitleRN - Med Surg - Contract - MSW Weekly Pay$2093.31 Shift Details ShiftNight - 11.5x3 - 07PM Scheduled Hours34 Job Order Details Start Date12/03/2024 End Date03/01/2025 Duration13 Week(s) Job Description Job Title: Clinical Nurse - Medical Surgical Unit Job Specialty: Medical-Surgical Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift 7 PM - 7:30 AM, Every Other Weekend Required Guaranteed Hours: 34.5 Experience: Minimum 2 years RN experience; 2 years Med/Surg experience; 1 year travel experience preferred for travel positions License: NYS RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: BSN Required, EPIC experience highly preferred Job Description: - Deliver patient care by incorporating the principles of Relationship Centered Care and applying the nursing process based on theory, research, and evidence-based practice.- Assess and evaluate patient care needs and apply critical thinking skills in patient care management.- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in developing and implementing the plan of care.- Prioritize all aspects of patient care, including teaching, rounding, coaching, planning after hospital care, and delegating to others as appropriate.- Educate patients and caregivers on their plan of care, transition of care, health promotion, and disease prevention.- Communicate effectively with patients, family, and all members of the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team.- Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing and allocate material resources effectively.- Perform charge nurse duties as assigned and coordinate with nursing leadership to ensure appropriate supply and inventory management.- Demonstrate cost-effective approaches to patient care in terms of equipment, staff, supplies, and all other resources.- Document all nursing activities accurately and thoroughly in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.- Participate in professional development, advancing clinical competence and ethical decision-making.- Encourage a spirit of scholarship, inquiry, life-long learning, and innovation for self and others.
