Details Client NameMount Sinai West Job TypeTravel OfferingNursing ProfessionRN SpecialtyMS Job ID29378398 Job TitleRN - Med Surg - Contract - MSW Weekly Pay$2093.31 Shift Details ShiftNight - 11.5x3 - 07PM Scheduled Hours34 Job Order Details Start Date12/03/2024 End Date03/01/2025 Duration13 Week(s) Job Description Job Title: Clinical Nurse - Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical-Surgical Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift, 7 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend required Guaranteed Hours: 34.50 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience License: NYS RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: BSN preferred, EPIC experience highly preferred Job Description: - Deliver patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care and through the application of the nursing process based on theory, research, and evidence-based practice.- Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills in patient care management.- Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in the delivery of nursing care.- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.- Prioritize all aspects of patient care including teaching, rounding, coaching, planning for after hospital care, and delegating to others as appropriate.- Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care, transition of care, promotion of health, and prevention of disease.- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family members, and all members of the interdisciplinary patient care team.- Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing and demonstrate effective allocation of material resources.- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and family members.- Use evidence-based practices to enhance understanding of patients' perceptions of care.- Conduct Purposeful Hourly Rounding on assigned patients addressing the 4 Ps.- Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying and escalating barriers and opportunities for improvement.- Collaborate on quality improvement projects, evidence-based practice activities, and nursing research studies.- Perform charge nurse duties as assigned and ensure supplies are appropriately utilized.- Document accurately and thoroughly in compliance with hospital, regulatory, and legal requirements.- Contribute to the environment of care to support clinical colleagues, patients, and their families.- Participate in shared decision-making through specialty practice councils, nursing department committees, and unit initiatives.Please note that this position requires every other weekend work and holidays as needed.
