Job DutiesPlans, implements, evaluates, and delivers patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Maintains clinical skills and competency through orientation, annual and ongoing education, and clinical practice. Follows Tribal Health and client specific policy and procedures.All other duties as assigned and specified by clinical assignment and site. Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered/Professional Nursing program.
  • Experience Required- Preferred 1 year in OB setting
  • Active and unencumbered state licensure
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • NRP
  • COVID vaccine required-Yes. Exemption will be considered.
Facility Overview/Job duties:Zuni Comprehensive Community Health Center
  • Specialty
    • OB RN
  • Patient volume per day
    • How many beds in L&D? 5
    • Mom and baby combined with L&D? 4 L&D
    • Nurse to patient ratio? 2 patients:1 RN
    • May be asked to float when OB is slow to help with minimal nursing duties such as taking vitals, etc. Working to obtain more comprehensive list of duties.
  • Weekly schedule
    • Rotating 34.5 and 46 hours weekly.
    • 1 hour lunch break
    • Scheduling is a matrix scheduling of working Monday, Tuesday, off Wednesday Thursday and then working Friday Saturday and Sunday. Opposite days the following week.
