Job Summary and QualificationsThe Outreach Coordinator for the Burn Program is responsible for developing, aligning, and retaining referrals from market physicians and referring hospitals for burn services in addition to educating community and related stakeholders of the services available.The Outreach Coordinator assists in planning and providing clinical education in collaboration with members of the clinical and outreach team.
Department Specific Criteria:
Organizational, Verbal, Interpersonal, Customer Relations, Mathematical, Statistical, Analytical, Grammar/Spelling, Read/Comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, Teaching and Presenting skills. Management and Planning skills. Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and the community. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following areas of competency:
Program growth
Identify target markets and be very familiar with hospital operations, language, and key roles.
Facilitate the retention of physician relationships, referring hospital relationships and community relationships.
Be responsible for developing and providing education in a variety of settings including but not limited to EMS departments, ED departments and staff and community events.
Coordinate the development and implementation of education designed to convey specialized knowledge and skills to the target audience.
Other related functions to assist with continued growth of the burn service line for the hospital
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in field of Nursing, Physical Therapy or other closely related field
Two or more years of experience in a Burn care setting preferred.
Valid TN license (or eligible) required
BLS required
ABLS Certification required within 1 year of hire
Preferred certifications: ABLS Instructor
Degree of Supervisor Required:
Bachelor's Degree
