Position Summary: the RN is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties which include:

  • Assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
  • Interviewing patients, measuring vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), venipuncture and procedure as directed by the physician.
  • Documentation is recorded in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with IPM guideline.
  • Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Assists in covering the front desk as required.
  • Executes prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administers prescribed medications, and monitors and documents treatment progress and patient response.
  • Delegates as allowed under the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Refers to/consults with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent/resolve problems or concerns.
  • Educates patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, Licensure, Training&Travel Requirements (if applicable):

  • RN - Completion of nursing training from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum of two (2) years college or Associate's Degree. BSN preferred.
  • Current state registered nurse license
  • Current BLS/CPR certification requiredMinimum of one to three (1-3) years working as a Registered Nurse required. Three to five (3-5) years of related experience (preferred).
  • General office procedures
  • Proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Office equipment such as fax machine, copier and telephone system,EKG machine,.Computer
