Weekly Pay Range - $2103 To $2337 Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Acute Care RN - Telemetry Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-hour shifts, Days or Nights available Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required to submit Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: - 2 years or more of experience- Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips- Experience with titratable drips like Heparin and Insulin Job Description: - Telemetry unit with 16 beds, typically staffed with 5 RNs (3 to Acute Care, 2 to ER)- Nurse-to-patient ratios vary from 1:4-6 based on acuity level- Handle lower acuity patients; more complex cases are transferred out- Common cases include wound care, rehab, long-term antibiotics, atrial fibrillation, cellulitis, severe wounds, and falls- No RRT, Code, or IV team available; independent work is necessary- RNs must titrate certain drips and perform EKGs, breathing treatments, and Bipap- Charge nurse available as shift supervisor; may take assignments if needed- Nursing aides are available, shared between ER and Acute Care- Respiratory Therapy available weekdays; RNs handle respiratory needs outside of those hours- Management-level scheduling; night shift blocks possible with flexibility required- Weekend commitment typically involves 4 shifts over a 4-week period- Participation in holiday rotations may be requested- Potential to float to ER; flexibility needed- Scrubs in any color allowed- 1-2 shifts of orientation provided with a preceptor- Independent work style essential due to minimal resources in a rural setting- Travelers should be flexible and able to cover staffing gaps- Housing options are limited; some AirBnBs available, pets not typically allowed
