Details Client NameCHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy - ML Job TypeTravel OfferingNursing ProfessionRN SpecialtyMICU Job ID28701824 Job TitleRN (Registered Nurse) Weekly Pay$2110.0 Shift Details ShiftNight - 12x3 - 07PM Scheduled Hours36 Job Order Details Start Date01/20/2025 End Date04/21/2025 Duration13 Week(s) Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Med Surg Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Nights Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: BSN Job Description: - Work in a fast-paced Med Surg ICU unit with 34 beds. - Manage nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1-2 in ICU and 1:4 in PCU. - Care for adults and patients over 15 years old with conditions such as respiratory failure, ARDS, sepsis, stroke, cardiogenic shock, renal failure, general surgery, and more. - Gain experience with ICU equipment including CVPs, Alines, Swans, EV-1000, ICP monitoring, Zoll -Thermoguard, and Bell Mont rapid transfuser. - Titrate drips, including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics. - Participate actively in Rapid Response Teams (RRTs) and Codes. - Collaborate with a charge nurse who does not take an assignment. - Assist with RT equipment ranging from nasal cannula to vents. - Interpret centralized telemetry monitoring using Draeger heart monitors. - Follow the unit's schedule, which is set by management, and fulfill weekend and holiday requirements as needed. - Be prepared to float to all inpatient units, except Maternity/NICU. - Wear Navy Blue scrubs. - Complete 2 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation. - Exhibit attributes such as the ability to ask questions, a positive attitude, critical thinking skills, and a willingness to help others. - Engage in a team environment working alongside attendings and student providers to deliver high-quality care.
