Details Client NameCHI Health St. Francis - ML Job TypeTravel OfferingNursing ProfessionRN SpecialtyMS Ortho Job ID28974211 Job TitleRN (Registered Nurse) Weekly Pay$2020.0 Shift Details ShiftNight - 12x3 - 07PM Scheduled Hours36 Job Order Details Start Date01/20/2025 End Date04/21/2025 Duration13 Week(s) Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Med Surg Ortho Nurse Job Duration: 13-week contract Shift: 12-hour nights Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Yes, required for submission Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: BSN Job Description: - Work in a fast-paced medical-surgical unit specializing in orthopedics.- Engage with patients having common diagnoses such as joint replacements, neuro-surgical, GI surgical, oncology, and other medical conditions not requiring higher-level care.- Manage nursing care for a 29-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:5-6.- Utilize PCAs and be able to read basic rhythm strips as RNs are required to manage these.- Support a unit that has a charge nurse who may take patient assignments if needed.- Collaborate with nurse aides/patient care techs in a ratio of 1:10.- Require flexibility to float between the Inpatient Rehab unit, Skilled Nursing unit, and Progressive Care Unit, taking appropriate assignments.- Adhere to the navy blue dress code as scrubs will not be provided by the facility.- Participate in a structured orientation program with the first week in a classroom and two 12-hour shifts on the floor.- Adjust to a schedule that may include every other weekend and holiday shifts as needed.- Join a team focused on hourly rounding, bedside shift reports, nurse communication, and team nursing.- Required to adhere to a 50-mile radius rule and not be employed full time, part time, or PRN with associated facilities.- Be adaptable to fluctuating census while maintaining high-quality patient care and a positive attitude.Additional operational details should be clarified with your hiring manager.
