First-time travelers accepted, experienced travelers preferred.License: Active RN license requiredCertifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)Must-Have: Must have prior LTC/SNF experienceJob Description:- Provide comprehensive care in a 100-bed facility with dementia and Alzheimer's patients.- Manage electronic medical records using Point Click Care in conjunction with paper charting.- Maintain a patient ratio of 1 nurse to 17-20 patients.- Oversee facility operations if assigned as House Supervisor.- Administer medications, monitor vitals, conduct blood sugar checks, manage wounds, ostomies, and Foley catheters.- Perform tube feedings and support other team members.- Occasionally manage IV antibiotics and PICC lines.- Participate in daily interdisciplinary team huddles.- Collaborate with a team consisting of PT, OT, SLP, Case Managers, Social Workers, and Dietitians.- Handle respiratory treatments independently; no RT on-site.- Utilize bubble packs for patient prescriptions; manage house stock of generic medications.- Adhere to scheduling requirements; be flexible to fill staffing gaps.- Work every other weekend and possibly on holidays.- Follow dress code guidelines: any color scrubs, no large jewelry or fake nails, hair must be up, and no face tattoos.- Participate in department-specific orientation over three shifts with a preceptor.
