The George Washington University Hospital'sCardiovascular Stepdown Unitare dedicated to providing specialized care for patients recovering from cardiovascular surgeries, catheterization procedures, and complex cardiac conditions. The Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit (CVSDU) serves as an intermediary level of care between the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and general medical-surgical units.
Our Cardiovascular and Stepdown teams work closely with ourCardiovascular ICU (CVICU)to ensure seamless patient transitions, ensuring both safety and continuity of care.
