Employment TypeFull timeShiftDescription:The Registered Nurse in the Endoscopy Unit combines the technological of the Operating Room with the patient contact of the Access Units. EU nurses are responsible for admitting and discharging outpatients, intra-procedural monitoring of inpatients and outpatients receiving Moderate Sedation, and assist with procedures such as colonoscopy, gastroscopy, bronchoscopy, and endoscopic retrograde cholangiogram pancreatogram (ERCP). Our unit performs more than 3,000 procedures a year. The unit is open Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with call for weekends and holiday coverage.Eligible for recruitment bonus up to $8000 for qualified Graduate Nurses!!Our graduate nurse residency and orientation program provides a strong supportive environment with resources and education to meet the individual needs of each new RN. What You Will Do
- Therapeutic nursing interventions and hands on skills including EKG monitoring, tube feeds, dressing changes and more. Patient education, goal setting, critical thinking and care planning.
- Care for and provide treatment modalities.
- Collaborative team approach: SNAP rounding daily with interdisciplinary team of physicians, clinical affiliates, medical social work, care managers, nutrition, Rehab services, spiritual care and pharmacy.
Responsibilities
- Ensures quality nursing care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the New York Nurse Practice Act, National Standards of Practice, and Nursing and Clinical Service standards of care and practice.
- Utilizing the Nursing Process, plans, directs and supervises the care of patients in addition to being involved in the provision of direct care of patients and families.

Education, Training, Experience, Certification And Licensure
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with GN permit and/or eligibility for licensure, in the State of New York.
- Maintains current BLS/CPR certification.
- Participates in orientation, continuing education to maintain knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.

Pay Range: $32.00 - $38.60Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
