Position Overview: RN Staff Development Nurse

As a Staff Development Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring staff are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and resources to provide outstanding care. You will assist in employee health compliance, training, recruitment, and educational programs, promoting adherence to regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Health and Compliance: Administer and track employee TB screenings, Hepatitis B, and flu vaccinations.
  • Staff Training: Coordinate and lead orientations, in-services, and competency programs, ensuring certifications and training are up-to-date.
  • Employee Development: Assist with obtaining CEU accreditation for programs and nursing competencies.
  • Infection Control: Monitor compliance, conduct investigations, and implement control measures.
  • Recruitment: Participate in peer interviews to attract and retain top talent.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of screenings, vaccinations, and educational completions.

You'll also uphold CHI Living Communities' mission and values in every interaction, contributing to a collaborative and supportive environment.

What You Need for This Role:
  • Education: Must hold an Associate's Degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio is required.
  • Experience:
    • Previous nursing experience, ideally in long-term care or skilled nursing settings.
    • Staff development or training experience is a plus.
  • Certifications:
    • CPR and First Aid certifications required.
    • BBET certification is preferred but not required.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Strong knowledge of infection control practices and regulatory standards.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
    • Ability to organize and lead educational programs effectively.
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to track, report, and analyze compliance data.
