Position: RN Weekend Supervisor Part-Time Schedule: Weekend shifts, Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM. Blakehurst is seeking a hospitality focused Registered Nurse Weekend Supervisor to join our team! You will work alongside fellow caregivers to provide high-quality patient care. The RN is responsible for the overall nursing care/service on his/her shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation, and emergency calls, as indicated. Primary Responsibilities: * Supervises and directs nursing personnel providing direct nursing care for residents on his/her shift in Chestnut Green ensuring continuity of care and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations including HIPAA as well as ensure resident and resident representative satisfaction. * Administers direct care, as necessary. * Make routine rounds to ensure proper care and a safe clean resident environment. * Assures accuracy and completeness of medical records including but not limited to due and necessary assessments, care plans, incident reports, nursing assistant documentation, and necessary nurses' notes. * Monitor for changes in resident condition and ensures timely and appropriate follow up. * Participates in family/resident counseling. * Responds to emergency calls, as necessary. * Assures effective communication with other shifts and departments to ensure continuity of care and services. * Communicates appropriate information to Director of Nursing and/or on call staff. * Assists in auditing resident records and other assigned items to ensure adherence to policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations. * Ensures proper staffing including finding replacement staff for absences. * Implement and maintain infection control protocols per direction of Infection Preventionist and CDC guidelines and recommendations. Ensure compliance of infection control standards. * Prepares reports as required and requested. Qualifications: * RN currently licensed in the state of Maryland. * Must have current CPR certification. * Geriatric/rehabilitation experience with knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to skilled nursing and assisted living facilities in Maryland. * Supervisory experience preferred. All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility.
