Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Supervisor to oversee nursing staff and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Coordinate patient care activities, ensuring effective communication among healthcare team members.
- Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery.
- Conduct staff training sessions on best practices, infection control, and sterile processing techniques.
- Manage scheduling and staffing needs to maintain optimal nurse-to-patient ratios.
- Oversee documentation practices, ensuring accurate coding with ICD-10 standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans for patients.
- Provide direct patient care as needed, including procedures such as spinal taps and assessments related to primary care.
- Address any concerns related to dementia care and implement appropriate interventions.
Skills
- Proficient knowledge of anatomy and infection control protocols.
- Experience in sonography and durable medical equipment (DME) management is preferred.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead nursing staff effectively.
- Familiarity with sterile processing techniques to ensure safety in patient care environments.
- Ability to conduct assessments related to dementia care, providing compassionate support for patients and families.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
