Registered Nurse (Women's and Children's Services) - Brownwood, TX

Job Description:
This position offers a unique opportunity to provide compassionate and high-quality care to women and children. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and delivering safe and effective nursing care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to women and children across various settings, including postpartum, pediatrics, and possibly other related areas.
- Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and identify any changes in patient status.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs and physician orders.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered, ensuring patient safety and accuracy.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, other nurses, and members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement activities.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing (Diploma; AD)
- Registered Nurse licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing.
- BLS certification required (should not initiate patient contact until completed).
- ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
- NRP certification required within 6 months of hire.
- PALS or ENPC certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Prior experience in a women's and children's setting is preferred, but not required.
