Eligible for a $15,000 Commitment Bonus!JOB SUMMARY:Our Nursing team member's primary goal is to provide the most remarkable patient experience while providing professional nursing services and patient care in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. The Registered Nurse follows the nursing process, including patient assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation of care given. The RN collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to provide physical and psychological support to patients and families while adhering to hospital and departmental polices and nursing standards and practice.Minimum Job Qualifications:Experience: 1 year preferred. License/Certifications:
  • Must be licensed a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of NC.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • ACLS Certification obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • NRP Certification obtained within 6 months of hire.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Obstetrical RNProvides direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. In addition to general nursing care, responsibilities of the RN include (but are not limited to):
  • Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological and spiritual support to patients, families and friends.
  • Provide direct, professional nursing care to patients.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment.
  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies.
  • Ensures safe operation of equipment.
  • Prepares equipment and assists physicians during examinations and treatments.
  • Administers medications by using the electronic health record and scanning process.
  • Documents, monitors and reports symptoms and changes in patient status.
  • Provides patient education of illness/disease and promotes health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families and other team members.
  • Performs a head-to-toe assessment and reassessments on all age groups.
  • Interact professionally with patient/family and provides explanation and verbal reassurance.
  • Formulates and updates an individualized plan of care for each patient.
  • Assumes the role of patient advocate.
  • Complies with protocols, procedures, and policies.
  • Documents all nursing care data concisely, accurately and completely in a timely manner, using the appropriate format.
  • Communicates appropriately and effectively with all hospital staff, visitors, families and physicians.
  • Ability to be flexible organized and function under stressful and emergency situations.
  • Exhibits professionalism at all times, showing respect and dignity to all.
  • Participates with orientation and training of new personnel and acts as a resource and mentor in a professional manner.
  • Participates in special assignments and Quality Improvement projects.
  • Other Responsibilities:
    • Completes required orientation as directed by facility.
    • Follows facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures while on assignment.
    • Follows facility and GHR Unusual Occurrence Protocol.
    • Respects cultural and religious practices of patients.
    • Upholds HIPAA regulations.
    • Punctual and dependent for assigned/confirmed shifts.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
