The Department of Transportation is on the lookout for a qualified individual to take on the role of Roadway Programs Technician 2 in Lancaster County. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will play a crucial part in assessing maintenance operations to establish and validate operational work standards. You will collect data to ensure the County's adherence to various efficiency and effectiveness metrics, which include the County Maintenance Measurements Tools (CMMT) and Dashboards. Additionally, you will support the RPC and management team in formulating and overseeing the annual work plan, periodic plans, salt management strategies for stockpiles, a five-year plan, the 213 Program, and the Maintenance Efficiency and Cost Effectiveness Initiative (MECE) Program.
You will also be responsible for preparing snow plans, which involve calculating lane miles per truck and per route using the Roadway Management System (RMS). This task requires gathering information from assistants regarding trucks, drivers, contact numbers, and stockpile details, and consolidating all this data into a comprehensive snow plan for the county. Furthermore, you will organize spring and fall maintenance meetings and conduct monthly visits to county stockpiles for inventory assessments. During the winter season, you will maintain an inventory database for anti-skid materials and sodium.
As the County Reimbursable Accident Reports (RAR) Coordinator, you will inspect damages to state property and determine the necessary repairs. You will enter this information into the Plant Maintenance system to facilitate the processing of invoices from the Central Office to the relevant parties for the damages incurred. Additionally, you will requisition bituminous materials, aggregates, and other necessary supplies through the SAP R/3 and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) systems, coordinating the delivery of these materials. You will leverage M213 reports in Business Warehouse and related Plant Maintenance interfaces to assist the RPC in monitoring the progress and data integrity of the County's Surface Improvement Program (SIP) and Business Plan Mileage objectives, updating Plant Maintenance notifications as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
* One year as a Roadway Programs Technician 1; or
* One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment, and an Associate's Degree in the field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or closely related program; or
* Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
