Made in the USA, we are proud to offer a lifetime warranty on most products.Job DescriptionThe Robot Set-Up Technician reports directly to the Die Cast Manager and is responsible for the general and specific job duties of as described below. Duties and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots robotic systems using knowledge of microprocessors, programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, sensor/feedback systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Tests the performance of robotic assemblies.
- Installs, programs, and repairs programmable controllers, robot controllers, end-of-arm tools, and conveyors.
- Installs and maintain robotic systems and PLC programs. Modifies computer-controlled robot movements as needed.
- Documents test procedures and results for robotic systems.
- Maintains service records for robotic equipment and automated production systems.
- Ensures machines consistently produce quality parts by maintaining equipment.
- Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on robotic systems and automated material handling components.
- Assists in the implementation of continuous improvement activities.
- Applies Lean Manufacturing principles and other problem-solving methodologies in failure and root cause analyses, leading efforts to address equipment capability and reduce failure rates.
- Tracks performance and failure data for all equipment to anticipate and prevent malfunctions.
- Develops preventive maintenance procedures for operators and trains them in routine tasks such as lubrication and part replacement.
- Creates rapid repair and substitution techniques to minimize downtime and loss of production capacity.
- Completes additional duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant experience (Fanuc experience)
- Must be proficient in using computers on the Windows platform.
- Must be able to lift to 40 pounds safely and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to read and understand both written and verbal work instructions.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity, including the ability to quickly move hands or arms to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
- Must be adaptable to various job assignments within the department and willing to assist in other departments as workload demands fluctuate.
- Must be flexible and available to work overtime when needed.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- A degree from a vocational school or college with a focus on Robotics, Mechanical, or Electrical fields, or equivalent work experience, is highly preferred.
Hourly Range: $25.00 - $35.00 Per HourDay Shift: 6:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Thursday (four ten hour shifts)Benefits:
