Sewer Equipment is seeking a skilled Robotic Welding Operator & Programmer to join our team. This role will primarily involve programming and operating the Yaskawa AR1440 Arc Weld Robot using Pema Weld Control 300. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in welding, metal fabrication, and robotic programming, as well as the ability to assist the welding team on the shop floor. You will be responsible for programming welding projects, troubleshooting, and ensuring the production process runs smoothly. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proficiently perform welding and metal fabrication tasks as required.
- Develop, test, and run welding programs for the Yaskawa AR1440 using Pema Weld Control 300.
- Create programs for both current and future welding projects, ensuring efficiency and precision.
- Report directly to the Weld Supervisor and Manufacturing Engineer on all matters related to the robot's performance and production.
- Work collaboratively with the weld department to support production goals and help address bottlenecks.
- Support welding department production on the shop floor when necessary, especially during peak times or when production falls behind.
- Assist with testing the welding programs, being present during trials, and making adjustments in real-time for optimal performance.
- Identify and report hardware and software issues with the robot to ensure continuous operation and minimal downtime.
- Inspect welded parts and make necessary corrections to clean up imperfections post-robotic welding.
- Stay involved in the creation of new programs for future welding projects, adapting to evolving company needs and technological advancement.
- Stay open to feedback and demonstrate a willingness to learn and improve both individual skills and the team's processes.
Commitments and Location:
- Full-time role based in Dixon, IL
- Monday - Thursday 6:30am - 5:00pm

Requirements Candidate Requirements:
- Demonstrate experience in welding, fabrication, and understanding of various welding techniques.
- Familiarity with Pema Weld Control 300, Visual Components, or equivalent 3D design software is required.
- Strong communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with engineers, supervisors, and shop floor staff.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and production-related issues.
- Strong focus on producing high quality, defect-free welded products.
- Must be flexible, open to changes, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Requirements:
- Previous experience with Yaskawa AR 1440 or similar robotic welding systems is preferred.
- Strong understanding of welding automation and robotics in a manufacturing setting.
- Formal training or certification in robotic welding and programming is a plus
