The Job: Get to know each dog's unique traits and preferences while delivering personalized care and attention tailored to their needs. Oversee and engage with our canine guests during group activity, monitoring their level of play and ensuring their safety and well-being. Feed meals prepared by the front office and administer medications as directed, monitor food and water intake, and document eating habits. Keep the play and sleeping areas clean, sanitized and well-maintained. Capture photos and videos for use in social posts and owner updates. Assist the team with any additional tasks required to ensure top-notch care for our dogs. Be punctual for shifts and show a strong dedication to being dependable and accountable.
What's Required: Must love dogs and people! Previous experience in a dog daycare or boarding facility is a big plus! Dependability is an absolute must in this role - it's essential to show up for scheduled shifts consistently and on time. Strong multitasking and prioritization skills are a necessity; you'll be managing multiple dogs and tasks all at once. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Self-motivated and able to take initiative, with a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail. Effective communicator with both people and dogs, strong interpersonal skills. Proficient problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally. Comfortable interacting with dogs of various sizes and temperaments. Willingness to learn and adhere to our high standards of care, safety, and cleanliness. Physical stamina for supervising, playing with, and cleaning up after dogs throughout your shift, including the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
