Position DetailsPosition Information Job Title Rodeo Complex Student Worker (Work Study) Position Type Student Division Student Affairs Department University Recreation Job Description Assist with the daily operations of the Rodeo Complex under the supervision of the Rodeo Coach.Duties include but are not limited to:
- Moving, sorting, and feeding livestock
- Cleaning grounds, arena, stalls, and pens
- Prepare livestock and facility for team practices
- Feed livestock on weekends
- Repair and maintain facility equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Must be a currently enrolled student and registered for classes.
- Must meet all Work Study eligibility requirements through the Financial Aid Office.
- Expected to work some weekends to feed and care for livestock.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of daily care and feeding of livestock, arena preparation and management, and sorting livestock.
- Skilled in the use of tractors, farm equipment, welders, cutting torch, and UTV.
Physical Demands
- Ability to pick up and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to work standing, lift heavy equipment, move livestock, and move around on loose, uneven surfaces.
- Ability to work in an environment which includes exposure to dust, foul odors, and extreme hot and cold temperatures.
