Sunday through Friday starting time is 9:00 AM until done it could be 6 pm or it could be 9:00 PM and One day off through the week and Saturdays off.Material Handler IJOB SUMMARYThe Material Handler I is responsible for providing the highest level of accuracy within eachaspect of customer order fulfillment. This includes, but is not limited to, receiving product,stocking/replenishment, product selection, routing completed orders to the appropriate trailer,and maintaining a safe work environment. Utilization of computers will apply. Performanceconsistent with guidelines established by the Manager of Distribution and the OperationsManagement Team of the CSC will be essential. Adherence to the goals and philosophy ofSisters Mercy Health System, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics and The EmployeeCode of Conduct is required. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent withour mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.Job Responsibilties1. Attitude: Effectively practices and promotes teamwork in all duties. Actions areconsistent with objectives and goals for department, distribution center, and healthsystem. Remembers that patients are at the end of our supply chain.2. Quality of Work: Performs duties in a manner that insures inventory accuracythroughout the health system. Verifies products, quantities, and insures label integrity.Provides notification of item maintenance when required. Actual accuracyperformance consistent with established standards for a Materials Handler I.3.Quantity of Work: Consistently produces work volumes relative to established standards for a Materials Handler I.4. Job Knowledge: Knowledge of products and procedures relative to job duties,distribution center, pharmaceutical repackaging, and health system operations.5. Judgement: Makes decisions based upon job knowledge and experience. Considersall impacted areas in decision process. Seeks advice where applicable. Judgementsensible and reliable.6. Dependability & Empowerment: Completion of assignments without follow up. Abilityto identify, adapt, and pursue priorities. Provides proper communication of unresolvedissues in a timely manner.7. Industry: Utilizes available work hours effectively. Actively seeks other tasks uponcompletion.8. Personal Appearance: Wears clothing and Health System badge consistent with dresscode. Attends to personal hygiene to maintain a clean, well-groomed appearance9. Safety: Observes universal precautions consistently. Wears proper personal protectiveequipment when appropriate. Plays a daily part of maintaining a safe workenvironment.10. Attendance: Adheres to Health System attendance standards. Provides advancednotification of absence where possible.QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM REQUIREDEducation:Licensure:Experience:Certification/Registration:Other skills & knowledge:(skills, knowledge, abilities)Demonstrated mathematical ability to count accurately andfollow written instructions.Must be able to manage multiple, complex instructionssimultaneously.Ability to reach and lift supplies and boxes of reasonable weight.Must be able to demonstrate the ability to safely and repetitivelylift and carry a 50 pound load as exhibited during a post-offerfunctional capacity testing process.Ability to work long hours in a warehouse preparing and loadingfreight.Familiarity with computers and keyboard proficiency.QUALIFICATIONS PREFERREDEducation: High School diplomaExperience: 1-2 years experience in a similar position.Knowledge and/or experience with Warehouse Management Systems.Knowledge and experience with lot controlled and expiration dated product handling.Certification/Registration:Ability to operate forklift and rider pallet jacks.WORKING CONDITIONSNot Applicable Minimal Occasional Frequent Continuous( < 25% ) (
