ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain paper roll inventory on presss
- Order correct quantity and type of paper
- Shift paper rolls and locate on press
- Set up splicer for continuous feed
- Participate in make readies and hanging plates
- Fill ink fountains and check conductivity
- Performs initial check out
- Act as second press operator when required
- Enter required shop floor data into Technique
- May handle hazardous waste as part of daily job functions
- Other duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Monitor/Assess performance of yourself and others to make improvements or take corrective actions
- Ability to perform basic math functions
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal
- Must be dependable, reliable and responsible in fulfilling obligations
- Must work well with others
- Must be flexible and open to change when needed
- Able to follow instructions and make decisions
- Must be proven self-starter to complete projects/work orders
- Must have some printing experience
- The ability to work 10 to 12 hour shifts
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have some printing experience
- Minimum 1-year Press Room experience
- Ability to interpret and utilize various units of measure and their conversions
