**Pay Rate:**

_The pay rate for this job is $16 - $16 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. **What you'll be doing as a Roofer:**

+ Tear off rubber roof on flat roof

+ Reinstall rubber roof on flat roof

+ Cutting felt, shingles, or strips of flashing to fit angles formed by walls, vents, or intersecting roof surfaces;

+ Removing snow, water, or debris from roofs prior to applying roofing materials;

+ Installing vapor barriers and/or layers of insulation on the roof decks of flat roofs, and sealing the seams;

+ Working on low-slope or steep-slope roofs sometimes both;

+ Inspecting problem roofing to determine the best repair procedures;

+ Placing tiles, nailing them to roof boards, and covering nail heads with roofing cement;

+ Removing old roofing materials;

+ Checking to ensure that completed roofs are watertight;

+ Locating worn or torn areas in roofs;

+ Sweeping and cleaning roofs to prepare them for the application of new roofing materials;

+ Reliable Transportation;

+ Strong working knowledge of job site safety;

+ Ability to install different types of roofing systems such as: TPO, PVC, EPDM rubber, built-ups, Bitumen, metal and dura-last roofing;

**Available shifts:**

Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day)

**Job requirements:**

+ Some construction experience required

+ Roofing experience helpful

+ Ability to lift 50 #s, climb 40' + ladders, bending, stooping for duration of shift.

+ Knowledge of Safety/OSHA guidelines;

+ Able to work in heat

+ Ability to get to and from job sites and/or the shop is required;

+ Must be reliable and enjoy working outdoors in a variety of climates and NOT have a fear of heights;

+ Ability to comprehend, construct, and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and shop drawings for the task being done;

+ Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation;

+ High standard of integrity and professionalism;

+ Experience working with equipment such as: boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts;

+ Ability to install different types of roofing systems such as: TPO, PVC, EPDM rubber, built-ups, Bitumen, metal and dura-last roofing;

+ Eagerness and willingness to learn and receive instruction/direction from qualified Journeyman Commercial Roofer;

+ Experience working with equipment such as boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts is a plus;

+ Commercial roofing experience.
