Roofing MechanicSalary $28 - $35 / HourReports To:ForemanSupervises: Roofing Laborers/HelpersBasic Function:The Roofing Mechanic is responsible for managing all field operations on the project(s) assigned in order to achieve timely and profitable completion of each project. The Roofing Mechanic will work in conjunction with, and directly supervise Roofing Laborers and Roofing Helpers on-site. This position must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as having a strong work-ethic, communication, and client service skills.•Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force including assistants, subcontractors and other construction related personnel•Assembling roofing material Including asphalt shingles, and wood shingles into a water-tight system.•Setting up of project sites including equipment, dumpsters, materials, and scaffolding •Working in a safe manner that complies with OSHA safety Standards •Communication with Site Foreman and Roofing Manager in order to complete daily projects •Maintaining the project site in a neat and orderly fashion •Develop and maintain site logistics plan, in coordination with Sr. Project Manager•Communicate and enforce Safety and Health Management Program •Attend and participate in project meetings•Ability to identify types of roofing materials and properly install or make repairs according to SUNation Roofing, LLCand Manufacturer's Written Specifications•4+ years of industry experience•Ability to use all hand tools associated with roofing install including simple hand tools •Ability to identify safety hazards on projects and take corrective measure to eliminate risk •Physical ability to work outdoors, lift and maneuver heavy-weighted objects including materials and equipment •Ability to work at heights•Broad understanding of the roofing industry•Strong written and verbal communication skills•Strong ability to read drawings and specifications•Functions effectively as part of a team•Exhibits strong leadership qualities•Delegates work appropriately•Strong decision making/problem solving skills•Excellent time management and organizational skills•OSHA 10 (will be provided after hire if needed)•Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience•OSHA 30EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYERSUNation Solar Systems is an equal-employment-opportunity employer.
