The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct surveys of existing roofs for the estimating team to use for roof replacement proposals. This is a critical position that ensures accurate and comprehensive data is gathered for project estimations.Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Survey existing roof systems, documenting all aspects with detailed notes and photos, including drone photos
- Perform core cuts of existing roof systems
- Document survey results using applicable reports and submit them in a timely manner to the estimating team
- Work closely with the estimating team to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is provided
- Communicate and coordinate with the bid coordinator on all ongoing projects
- Attend pre-bid meetings as needed to assist with project preparations
Key Selection Criteria:
- Knowledge of roofing systems, including sloped roofs (shingles, tile, metal) and low-slope roofs (TPO, built-up, and modified)
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Office programs: Outlook, Excel, Word
- Drone experience or willingness to train and obtain a drone license
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to represent ARSM in a professional manner in front of clients
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- A good driving record and valid driver's license, no major infractions for past 3 years
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift materials and equipment and work at heights in various weather conditions
- Able to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to frequently climb ladders and stairs throughout the day
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 70 lbs
- Ability to drive for long periods of time
- Willingness to work more than 40 hours per week when required
Experience:
- At least 1 year of experience in the roofing industry, including both sloped and flat roof applications, preferred. Candidates with a background in construction are also encouraged to apply and will be trained
- Experience working on occupied properties is preferred
