An individual could be successful if they possess the following.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe Room Attendant (Turndown) will provide the evening turndown service to all guest's rooms and suites to include cleaning the room as well leaving amenities for the guest occupying the room. Turndown Attendant will also be responsible for completing any special requests made by the guests. Turndown Attendant take ownership for the cleanliness and maintenance of the guest room and around areas, helping create a positive experience for every guest. Always presents a friendly and professional image at the Hotel/Casino. The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
- Provides impeccable guest service to all guests
- Cooperates and communicates with all team members and the Hotel guest with respect and projecting a positive attitude.
- Provides impeccable guest service to all guests.
- Completes the Room Attendant Daily Report, correctly identifies the status of each assigned room.
- Cleans entire bedroom area according to established procedures.
- Cleans entire bathroom area according to established procedures.
- Replenishes all guest room supplies according to established levels.
- Reports all repairs needed in guest rooms to the supervisor.
- Reports the status of the rooms as rooms are completed.
- Stock carts with linen and guest supplies.
- Follows proper safety, security and hospitality procedures.
- Reports any suspicious activities to supervisor or Front Desk.
- Assists other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
- Follows established procedures and policies of the Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - High School Diploma or GED required.
- Three or more years guest service experience required.
- At least one year of hotel/resort experience.
- Must be able to perform the physical job duties of all Turndown team members.
- Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSEmployee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
