A career at Tribal Health is more than a job- It's a passion.Job SummaryProvides direct support to Nursing and Medical staff by assisting with patient registration and all other clerical responsibilities to help maintain unit functions. Job DutiesFulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned which may include sending/receiving patient medical records; obtaining lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, referral information, etc.; completing forms/requisitions as needed; scheduling appointments; verifying insurance coverage and patient demographics; managing and charts to ensure information completed and filed appropriately.Fulfills organizational responsibilities as assigned which may include respecting/promoting patient rights; responding appropriately to emergency codes; sharing problems relating to patients and/or staff with immediate supervisors quicklyMaintains competency through orientation, annual and ongoing education.Follows Tribal Health and client specific policy and procedures.All other duties as assigned and specified by site. Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma/GED. BLS certification for healthcare professionals. Requires computer skills, including the ability to work with medical software. Requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.Facility and Job Overview:Rosebud Hospital-Emergency DepartmentOffer administrative support to health care staff and perform tasks such as maintaining and updating patient records, controlling patient accounts, handling correspondence and scheduling patient appointments. Prepare patients for exam and treatment including medical history. Assists providers with exams and minor ER procedures. Provides clerical support. Maintain a stocked, clean, functional center including cleaning and disinfection. Inventory of supplies and stocks care areas. Determining the nature of the call and assisting with communicating needs regarding appointments. Prioritizing calls and making decisions on caller needs. Utilizing computer technology to ensure continuity of care through accurate patient information. Perform receptionist duties, customer service and other duties assigned for the proper and timely treatment of patients. Verifying and updating demographics and insurance information. Performing basic eligibility. Utilizing numerous advanced patient systems.
