ROTA Nanny (New York, NY) Division: Domestic / ChildcareRef ID: R423####### Location: New York, NY 10010Salary: $35 - $45 per hour Schedule: Rotating schedule: 10 – 12 hours per day, starting at 7 am – 7 pm and overnight
  • Week 1: 3 days on overnights (24/7 care) 4 days off
  • Week 2: 4 days on overnights (24/7 care) 3 days off
Overnights: Must be able to work 3 or 4 overnights with each rotational week. An overnight rate is provided and paid additionally. Benefits: Full health benefits, paid vacation, sick days, 401k with employer match, overtime payment after 40 hours. A private HNW family seeks to hire an experienced ROTA Nanny to assist with the care of a 6-month-old. The position requires working as part of a team of full-time nannies to provide 24/7 care and support. The family is looking to hire a lead ROTA nanny in addition to a supporting ROTA nanny who would rotate schedules. The family is also looking for a third nanny who would work as a fill-in to support both ROTA nannies. Honesty, trust, and flexibility are very important for this family. Responsibilities:
  • Supporting mom and dad with the transition from a baby nurse to having a full-time nanny team to support with 24/7 childcare
  • Following all created and current feeding/sleeping schedules created by the mom and the baby nurse
  • Maintain open and transparent communication with the family and family support staff
  • Feeding: Preparing milk feeds, ensuring bottles and feeding equipment are clean and sterilized, and feeding the baby day and night
  • Bathing: Bathing the baby
  • Sleep training: Follow the established sleep routine and continue helping the baby get used to a regular nighttime schedule
  • Diapering: Changing the baby's diapers
  • Safety: Ensuring the nursery and other baby care areas are safe
  • Laundry: Doing the baby's laundry
  • Other: Soothe the baby, stimulate their growing brains, and resettle the baby after feeds
  • Incorporate educational playtime and activities that are soothing and nurturing for the baby's development
  • Must be a strong swimmer and comfortable teaching baby to swim in the future
  • Must be able to work as part of a household team of nannies, chef, and housekeepers
  • Must be travel-ready (domestic travel is required and international travel is a plus)
  • Must be able to work in Scarsdale, NY, or Bridgehampton, NY during the summer months.
  • Must be pet-friendly as the family has two large dogs
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years related full-time childcare experience
  • A 4-year College education is preferred
  • Excellent references from both current and previous employers
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must have a strong command of the English language
  • Prior experience with care for newborns, infants and toddlers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible to travel as needed
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
  • Flexibility with hours and scheduling
  • Strong swimming skills
  • A certificate in CPR and First Aid is a huge plus
  • Must have United States work authorization
  • Valid Passport
