Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer to provide support and technical guidance to Linde Gas US (LGUS) Hydrogen and CO (HyCO) plants. The Rotating Equipment Engineer will collaborate with Reliability Engineers, Maintenance Mechanical Specialist and plant personnel to support rotating equipment troubleshooting, repairs and upgrades. This position will report to the LGUS Reliability Director and will be located out of Deer Park, TX.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Provide engineering support for activating involving rotating equipment including:

* Compressors (Reciprocating, Centrifugal, Screw)

* Centrifugal Pumps

* Turbines

* Gearboxes

* Condition Monitoring Systems

* Ancillary Systems (Lube Oil, Seal Systems, etc.)

* Work closely with the Reliability Engineers and Maintenance Mechanical Specialist to troubleshoot rotating equipment issues, develop repair/upgrade plans, and identify root causes to eliminate repetitive failures.

* Owns PdM program for rotating equipment. Ensures vibration monitoring programs are robust and provides second level spectrum analysis support for Reliability Engineers.

* Stay updated on applicable industry standards and emerging technologies to ensure Linde HyCO facilities are aligned with requirements. Revise internal standards and policies as needed to ensure compliance.

* Provide engineering support to facilities to close gaps in PSI information and management systems. This includes performing engineering calculations or interfacing with other technical resources to secure required documentation of PSI.

* Support rotating equipment upgrades by managing small capital projects and/or providing technical expertise to Project Managers.

* Assist the maintenance team as needed during rotating equipment inspections and overhauls.

* Provide on-site and remote technical support for mechanical equipment at HyCO facilities.

* Identify rotating equipment bad actors and chronic failure modes and develop strategies to resolve.

* Provide support for turnaround organization and capital projects as required, including planning and cost estimation.

* Lead or assist in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities for rotating equipment failures.

* Perform Management of Change (MOC) reviews for rotating equipment modifications

Qualifications:

This position requires a combination of office work and field work. This position typically requires approximately 25% travel domestically.

Required Qualifications:

* BS in Mechanical Engineering preferred and 5 years' experience as a rotating equipment technical resource in a PSM regulated facility.

* Category II certification in Vibration Analysis

* Level I in Machine Lubricant Analysis

* Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be a self-starter and able to work independently as well as to lead and participate on cross-functional teams

* Able to manage multiple priorities, drive issues to completion, and obtain results.

* Familiarity and experience with multiple types of rotating equipment

* Experience working within or supporting OSHA PSM-regulated facilities or processes, and knowledge of how mechanical integrity program elements apply to rotating equipment.

* Proven knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance procedures and practices applicable to a variety of rotating and reciprocating mechanical equipment.
