Rotating Equipment Engineer
(Houston Area/ La Porte, TX)
A chemical company needs a rotating equipment engineer to be part of the corporate engineering team supporting rotating equipment reliability systems, capital projects, technical support, optimization, etc for several sites on the Gulf Coast.
Some travel.
KEY:
- A lot of rotating equipment experience in reliability/PdM, etc, including vibration
- At least 5 years in-plant experience
- Mechanical engineering degree
Position:
- Provide engineering support for multiple chemical facilities in systems including:
PumpsCompressor systems (small to large; “regular” to high-pressure, etc)MotorsGearing systemsFans/cooling systemsLubrication and other systems- Owner and subject matter expert for rotating equipment predictive maintenance program (with site maintenance/reliability management and personnel) throughout operations
- Own, manages, update the vibration monitoring program
- Ensure internal company standards are appropriate as well as train personnel
- Extensive work with Process Safety Management (PSM) and PSI systems
- Fully manages some projects
- Support capital projects and turnarounds
- Extensively involved with formal RCA and MOC
Required
- BS in mechanical engineering
- 25% or so travel along gulf coast ops
- Significant experience in vibration analysis; category 2 preferred
- At least 5 years in rotating equipment and vibration
- Work in-plants; prefer industries such as chemicals and refining
- Must be legal to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
Salary is over $140k, bonus, etc
