Overview:
As a Rotational Fleet Mechanic your duties will include performing oil changes, inspections, outfitting, cleaning,travelling as needed, and troubleshooting fleet vehicles. You will also be responsible for driving a ¾ truck, towing trailers, and loading/unloading fleet trucks.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and inspections.
- Outfitting and cleaning of fleet vehicles.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
- Drive and manage fleet vehicles, including towing and loading/unloading.
- Respond to callouts and be on-call every other weekend.
- Travel and overnight stays may be required occasionally.
- Mechanical Inclination: Strong mechanical skills and troubleshooting abilities.
- Driving Skills: Experience driving a ¾ truck and towing trailers.
- Self-Starter: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Must be mechanically inclined.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Fleet Mechanic experience.
- Must be able to load/unload/tie down a vehicle on a trailer.
- Must have experience driving a ¾ -ton truck.
- Must live within 30-45 minutes of Odessa, TX.
- Valid U.S. Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- Physical Requirements - Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
- Understanding of importance of environmental and safe work practices.
