Job Description:
Specific Job Responsibilities:• Safely load, deliver and unload cylinders containing compressed gases and hard goods orders; return empty cylinders to branch or plant for refilling.• Perform all required pre- and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations.• Complete all FDA/DOT required documentation.• Track delivery and pick-up of cylinders at customer sites using handheld device and complete all the required information/steps during the delivery and pick-up processes.• Keep truck clean and in line with DOT standards.• Communicate with supervisor on truck maintenance, customer-related issues, and delivery efficiencies.• Establish and maintain good customer relations by communicating in person with customers.• Identify and monitor customers' needs and work with them to maintain proper hard goods and cylinder levels to minimize or eliminate emergency deliveries.• Operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.• Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.Qualifications:• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).• One (1) year driving experience.• CDL A or B with Hazmat Endorsement.• Clean MVR driving record.• Employee must be able to lift 65 lbs.• Employee must meet all physical qualification standards imposed by the DOT.• Ability to read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).• While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk on concrete for an extended period of time; bend; use hands and arms; and handle cylinders regularly weighing 150 pounds up to a maximum of 600 pounds.• Flexibility to work overtime as required.Classification:• Hourly, Non-Exempt Employee• Full-time Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
