- Support outside sales routes with route relief when sales reps are on vacation or out for extended periods of time
- This is to include but not limited to order entry, facilitation of account needs and payment collections when necessary
- To regularly call on established accounts within a specific territory, promoting and selling the full range of Georgia Crown's products when not covering sales routes for route relief
- Must have overall product knowledge, properly inventory and survey the account for sales opportunities, and have a positive, mutually productive relationship with the account.
- Minimum 2 years key account past package store sales experience.
- Must have extensive wine knowledge and be able to demonstrate such.
- Must achieve all assigned sales goals, achieve new package distribution, as well as draft handles and point of sale opportunities.
- Promote monthly programs and pricing, keep up with market trends and conditions, and be aware of competitive activities.
- Sales rep should understand Georgia Crown's policies and procedures, keep accurate account records and route books, keep monthly and daily preplans, and understand and work accounts within the applicable delivery schedules.
- Must be on time to all meetings and be prepared with requested information. If called upon, they should actively participate in meetings.
- Must fully communicate with sales as to progress and pending shipments to ensure full follow through on market presentations
- Must be willing to merchandise accounts (displays and shelves) to improve positions of brands.
- Must be willing and able to conduct/attend tasting and promotional events outside of normal business hours.
- Must be able to have flexible working hours
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Other job related duties assigned.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Minimum H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- College degree preferred.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of basic computer applications (word, outlook, excel,,,)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, mathematical, time management, and organizational skills.
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
- Must possess valid GA Drivers license.
- Maintain 100,000/300,000/100,000 insurance
- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to maintain 100/300/100 insurance limitations.
- Must be licensable under the guidelines determined by state alcohol regulations.
- Background Checks (i.e. Police backgrounds, reference checks...).
- Motor Vehicle Record will be pulled to establish employment eligibility:
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record:
- Cannot have more than two (2): moving violations and/or at-fault vehicle accidents (any combination) in the past three (3) years (for speeding, violations must be under 16mph)
- Cannot have more than one (1): speeding violation of 16-29mph OR at-fault accident in the past three (3) years
- Cannot have a major violation such as: DUI/DWI, hit-and-run, reckless driving, and/or super speeder (29+mph) violation in the past five (5) years
- Drug Free Workplace.
- Previous sales experience preferred
- Previous industry experience preferred.
