AlliedTravelCareers is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified RRT in White Plains, New York, 10601!About The Position**Job Title:** Respiratory Therapist**Job Specialty:** Respiratory Therapy**Job Duration:** N/A**Shift:** Day 6:30am-6:45pm, 13 shifts per month, Monday-Friday, alternating weekends and holidays**Guaranteed Hours:** N/A**Experience:** N/A**License:** Valid State Respiratory Therapy license**Certifications:** Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Current BLS/CPR certification, NRP and ACLS recommended**Must-Have:**- Graduate of an approved program of Respiratory Therapy- Effective communication and decision-making skills- Ability to work independently- Ability to transport and lift heavy medical gas cylinders**Job Description:**- Provide all aspects of respiratory therapy to both inpatients and outpatients- Collaborate with patients, family members, peers, physicians, and other healthcare team members- Assess patient's respiratory needs, plan care, implement and evaluate respiratory therapy- Initiation and monitoring of mechanical ventilation, both invasive and non-invasive- Conduct various types of breathing therapy and patient assessment- Perform postural drainage, percussion, and bronchial hygiene techniques- Carry out bedside pulmonary function- Perform blood gas puncture and analysis, maintain the blood gas analyzer, and conduct quality control- Respond to cardiac arrest and Rapid Response situations and perform CPR- Obtain certification for emergency endotracheal intubation of adult patients- Perform all other related duties as assigned- Work within hospital's policies and standards- Manage hazards related to chemical exposure, as per the hospital's Safety Data Sheet databaseThe responsibilities and tasks outlined in this job description may change according to the needs of the organization.9429683EXPPLATJob RequirementsRequired for Onboarding
