Your Roadmap of Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage a team of Service Technicians specializing in specific vehicle systems or functions.
- Hire, train, and evaluate auto service technicians, conducting timely and constructive performance reviews.
- Organize and oversee employees' work schedules to ensure efficient service operations.
- Identify mechanical problems using visual inspections and computer diagnostic equipment.
- Perform and oversee specialized repairs, replacements, or maintenance on vehicle components.
- Ensure all critical parts are examined and repairs are completed correctly through thorough testing.
Your Performance Specs:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence certification for area of expertise.
- Three years of related experience in automotive service.
- Extensive knowledge of specialized automotive areas and general vehicle repair.
- Excellent mechanical repair skills and proficiency with computer diagnostic equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work safely in a noisy environment with various odors present.
- Physical capability to lift 30 lbs. regularly and perform inspections requiring bending, stretching, kneeling, and squatting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced certifications in multiple automotive specialties.
- Experience in a supervisory role within the automotive industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
