This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Spartanburg Office, 250 Dewey Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29303As the Program Manager, you will lead efforts for recognition as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHC) at the Spartanburg Area Mental Health Center (SAMHC) for the SC Department of Mental Health (SCDMH) by expanding behavioral health equity, by improving access to trauma informed, evidence-based care, by transforming community behavioral health systems and provide integrated, coordinated, and person-centered treatment. Ensure support 24/7 for those with serious mental illness (SMI) and substance use disorders (SUD) including opioid use disorder; children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbance (SED); individuals experiencing mental health or substance abuse crisis; with a focus on groups facing health care disparities.Responsibilities for this Program Manager I position include but are not limited to:
- Develops, implements, and monitors CCBHC program goals, objectives and strategiesEnsures compliance with CCBHC certification requirements and regulatory standards. Develops and executes long-term strategic planning to expand and improve CCBHC services.
- Provides supervision to staff within the CCBHC program. Ensures the delivery of high quality services to patients. Conducts performance evaluations and provides ongoing professional development opportunities. Fosters a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Coordinates with other Center programs and other agencies to ensure that patients receive services as needed, such as Individual Placement and Support (IPS), Family Peer Support, and Peer Support, Housing and Rental Assistance, and other related entities. Plans and arranges training for SAMHC and other SCDMH staff around working with the population of focus.
- Builds and maintains relationships with community partners. referral resources, and stakeholders. Promotes the CCBHC services and collaborates with other healthcare providers. Ensures accurate and timely record keeping and reporting in compliance with regulations. Prepares report for funding agencies, government entities, community partners, and the board.
- Completes documentation according to QA/SCDMH standards, complies with Corporate Compliance and Risk Management Plans. Follows all SCDMH and Center Safety Protocols. Completes !raining as required by SCDMH and SAMHC.
Minimum and Additional Requirements A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
