Crisis Services is looking to grow our Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) Program team with a SAFE Program Coordinator. We are seeking an experienced RN/NP/PA who is already certified as a SANE or willing to become certified, and who is interested in supporting our commitment to provide a coordinated, respectful response to sexual assault victims across Western New York. If not already certified, Crisis Services will support the necessary steps to gain certification. Assistance with relocation to the Buffalo, NY area may be available.

About this opportunity:
The Crisis Services' Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) Program provides on-site forensic services at hospitals to individuals who have been sexually assaulted within a 120-hour period and are seeking help. The SAFE Program Coordinator will assist in the operation of the SAFE Program, ensuring trauma-informed, patient-centered, forensic services, 24/7, for patients in hospitals contracted with Crisis Services. This will include maintaining and supporting the on-call schedule, team training, conducting quality improvement checks, managing team materials at each facility and providing support and guidance to area hospitals.
Job Type:
* Part-Time, 30 hours per week to start. Pending additional funding this may become a full-time position.
Pay:
* $62,000-65,000/annually with SANE certification
* Additional earning potential associated with case work performed
Schedule:
* Weekdays - Exact schedule to be determined upon hire.
* On-Call - This position requires administrative on-call shifts in addition to regularly scheduled work hours to ensure 24-hour response to hospitals attending to sexual assault patients.

* Community-based
* Hybrid remote
What you will bring to this position:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in a health care field from an accredited college and/or university
* Current licensure in NYS as an RN, NP, or PA
* Five (5) years of experience in clinical setting, preferably in a hospital environment
* SAFE certification by NYS Department of Health strongly preferred
* SANE certification (Adolescent/Adult and/or Adolescent/Pediatric) by International Association of Forensic Nurses with at least three (3) years of experience as a SANE strongly preferred
* A valid NYS driver's license with a clean driving record and access to a usable vehicle
