The FFM Security Division is seeking a motivated individual who can effectively manage and advance its security program to reduce the risk of human and property loss. On our team, you will work with experts in the field of security to provide a robust and sustainable Security Division. Promoting our 24/7 Safety Culture by working with County departments and other program partners to create and advance the security program is a high priority.
About This Role:
The successful candidate will be working hands-on with a wide variety of electronic physical security systems in a networked environment. A successful incumbent will be able to:
* Install video surveillance, card key access control, burglar and panic alarm systems from industry leading manufacturers.
* Remote access into various systems via the County's secure network and provide programming and remote diagnostics.
* Run security tests on system hardware using special testing equipment.
* Work with an outstanding team of technicians to design and install new security systems and equipment.
* Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on existing equipment.
* Correct malfunctions and restore the conformance of equipment to established standards.
* Install and relocate security systems equipment and other related equipment.
* Maintain records of equipment installed using excel and word documents.
* Operate power tools and use hand tools to install and repair electronic equipment.
* Perform physical inventories of security systems equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
* High school diploma or G.E.D. and 3 years of related experience.
Preferences:
* 3+ years of experience installing and servicing video surveillance, access control, and burglar alarm systems in a network environment.
* 2+ years of experience as a lead technician.
* Strong customer service and communication skills.
Special Requirements:
* Must possess a valid driver's license.
* Must pass DMV record check.
* Must pass a police background check to include drug test, fingerprints, credit check, and employment verification.
Work Schedule:
Work schedules are flexible, revolving around the core hours of 7:30am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday. The County government operates 24/7/365 providing public safety and other services to the community, resulting in occasional opportunities for overtime work. This position is considered essential personnel and may be required to work during county closures.
Starting Salary Range:
$31.96 to $58.88 an hour
