We are currently seeking skilled and motivated individuals for full time employment as a Safety Assistant. The candidate should have a strong work ethic, have strong attention to detail and want to become a long-term member of Lantek.
Responsibilities :
Perform 15 field observations weekly.
Maintain physical records of observations.
Attend and participate in the Monthly Safety Committee Meeting.
Willing to travel out of state as needed between Monday thru Friday (typically the week is 3 days, 1 week in Maine, 1 week in Massachusetts)
Perform New Hire Orientation and Safety Training.
Conduct and maintain records of New Hire Safety Orientation.
Weekly communications with department managers on field observations of the crews.
Distribute and maintain PPE at the offices. (As well as monitoring usage).
Monthly 1st Monday of month, zoom meeting for brainstorming safety issues with National cSafety Manager.
Monthly Exit, Extinguisher, forklift, and grounds inspections
Maintain binders for Fork truck inspections/ ladder inspections/ warehouse inspection.
Qualifications:
Safety Training/Trainer experience.
Working knowledge of DOT/Work Zone set-ups.
Previous Conduction of Exit, Extinguisher, Forklift, and Grounds Inspections.
Possess a valid Drivers License and a clean driving record.
Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
