**Position Overview**
**Elliott-Lewis Corporation is seeking an entry-level Safety Associate to join our Safety Department. This position will be responsible for organization and event preparations of safety trainings and meetings, conduct basic safety trainings, collaborate on competent persons trainings, manage record keeping and tracking, assist with proactive safety initiatives, and organize additional administrative tasks.** **This position will collaborate daily with a variety of teams including: Project Managers, Foremen, Superintendents, Sales Representatives, Legal, Accounting, and Human Resources.** **Additionally, the ideal candidate will be outgoing, enjoy collaboration, and have a positive view on improving safety standards for all employees.** **Our ideal candidate is seeking a long-term relationship with an employer to further their career. This is a full-time and non-exempt (hourly) position.**

Since 1905, Elliott-Lewis and its family of companies have a reputation of being a premier provider of Mechanical Services, Facilities Management, and Crane Rentals. This role will focus on the safety initiatives for our work on construction sites and maintenance of large buildings. We provide a variety of services and support to commercial, industrial, and governmental customers. Our organization currently has approximately 600 total employees and continues to grow.
**Role and Responsibilities**
+ Records and Tracking (including OSHA logs, injury logs and other reports).
+ Event planning for reoccurring meetings and trainings.
+ Conduct trainings and presentations (Co-present with safety coordinator on a variety of topics).
+ Proactive initiatives (Including research, prepare documentation, and site visits).
+ Additional administrative tasks (Such as PPE inventory, price quoting specialty equipment).
**Required Skills and Education**
+ We welcome entry-level candidates who are starting their career in Safety.
+ Must have completed a bachelors program in a safety accredited program or relevant degree.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Comfortable with public speaking and presenting in front of large groups.
+ Basic skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
+ Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills including attention to detail.
**Preferred Skills**
+ Previous experience in part-time Safety jobs or Safety internships greatly valued.
+ Candidates who have already started their safety career and are looking for a more permanent position are welcome to apply to this role which offers long-term growth.
+ Proficient in additional Microsoft programs including Great Plains (aka GP or Dynamics), PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams welcomed but not required for consideration.
Physical Requirements
+ Frequently Required: Walking. Max carry 75lbs. Push/pull 40-75lbs. Exposure to hot and cold temperature. Working at heights. Operate motorized equipment.
+ Occasionally Required: Standing, bending, or twisting. Kneeling, crouching, stopping, and crawling. Repetitive motion. Working with arms raised over head. Working on or from ladders. Exposure to high sound levels.
