Position: Safety Coordinator/Admin

Type: Contract 12 months

Pay: Based on experience

Location: Houston, TX

**Position Overview:**

The Safety, Security, Quality, and Business Continuity (SSQBC) department contributes to the success of the company by implementing a proactive approach toward worker safety across multiple locations. The Safety Coordinator will provide essential administrative support, develop effective communication and marketing materials, process invoices, and contribute to company goal of maintaining a safe workplace across all business lines.

**Key Responsibilities:**

Administrative:

+ Assist with safety related Corrective and Preventative Action requests and provide support to maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications

+ Assist the safety team with daily administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and managing correspondence.

+ Maintain and organize safety documentation, records, and files.

Communication and Marketing Material Development

+ Create engaging and informative safety-related communication materials, such as newsletters, bulletins, posters, and presentations.

+ Collaborate with the marketing team to design and distribute safety campaigns and initiatives.

+ Ensure all safety communications are clear, accurate, and aligned with company standards. Invoice Processing

+ Manage the processing of invoices related to safety programming, training, SOP development, and other safety services.

+ Track and reconcile safety-related expenses, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.

+ Liaison with vendors and suppliers to resolve any billing issues or discrepancies.

Office Safety

+ Assist in conducting regular safety audits and inspections of the office environment.

+ Support the implementation of safety programs and initiatives to promote a culture of safety.

+ Help coordinate emergency response drills and ensure all safety equipment is maintained and operational.

+ Provide support during safety training sessions and workshops.

Data Reporting

+ Aid in the collection and reporting of safety metrics and key performance indicators (KPI)

+ Prepare regular safety performance report to management team.

+ Additional duties as required

**Qualifications**

+ Associates degree or pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience

+ Strong organizational and administrative skills, with keen attention to detail

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

+ Knowledge of SDS (Safety Data Sheets)

+ Some experience working with marketing campaigns and posters

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Associates degree or bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.

+ At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the renewable energy sector or energy industry.

+ Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)

+ Experience developing communication and marketing materials.

+ Familiarity with invoice processing and basic accounting principles.

+ Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is a plus.

+ Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
