Siemens Grand Prairie is looking for a skilled early professional Safety Coordinator to join our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team. The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing safety programs and initiatives to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. This role requires a proactive approach to safety, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of regulatory compliance and best practices in industrial safety. This person will collaborate with management to integrate safety protocals into daily operations and stay current with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety regulations and standards.
This is a split shift role but could change based on business needs - hours as follows 12pm - 8pm.
You will make an impact by:
* Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
* Design and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels, including new hire orientation, annual refresher training, and specialized safety training.
* Lead investigations into workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and develop preventive measures.In addition prepare detailed reports on safety incidents and provide recommendations for improvements.
* Conduct risk assessments and job safety analyses to identify potential hazards and implement control measures.
* Develop and maintain safety data sheets (SDS) and ensure proper labeling and handling of hazardous materials.
* Perform ergonomic assessments to identify and mitigate risks associated with workstation design and task performance.
* Develop and implement ergonomic improvement plans to reduce musculoskeletal disorders and enhance employee comfort and productivity. Provide training and guidance on ergonomic best practices and proper body mechanics.
* Act as a safety champion, promoting best practices and recognizing safety achievements.

Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* 1 - 3 years experience in a safety coordinator or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
* Proven experience in developing and implementing safety programs and training.
* Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

* The pay range for this position is $58,310 - $99,960. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
