Main Accountabilities - Responsible for SOP training for all new drivers and re-training of drivers
- Responsible for updating and maintaining all driver files
- Processing of all Port Authority/Customs identifications
- Ensure all State inspections, registrations and Insurance ID's for trucks are current
- Responsible for ensuring all drivers adhere to A-1 Inspection procedures
- Assist the Ramp Safety Supervisor as needed and perform other clerical duties as assigned
- Physical demands include heavy lifting (50+ lbs.), standing for extended periods, bending, and moving intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience - High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and other computer applications
- Must have open availability to work weekends and holidays as operations require
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with large groups – must be flexible
- Safety/ramp experience is a plus, not required
- Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish), not required
Environmental Requirements:
- Exposure to temperature changes (hot & cold) may occur during work shifts
- Physical demands include heavy lifting (50+ lbs.), standing for extended periods, bending, and moving intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours
- Required to drive and operate heavy equipment
